Library

Library services are an essential support for the learning, teaching and research activities of ILES's academic, professional and research programmes. They support students, academic staff and researchers by providing access to a variety of literature that enriches independent learning and supports research at all levels, with ease of access to national and global resources for members.

Rules & regulations

  • 1Every student must possess their library card while making use of the library.
  • 2Silence must be maintained within the library at all times.
  • 3Library staff and security personnel have the right to inspect users and their belongings.
  • 4Mobile phones, smoking, drinking, eating and any other misconduct that is a nuisance to other users is prohibited.
  • 5The library is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal effects left by users in any part of the library.
  • 6Computers in the library are to be used for educational purposes in line with the college computer policy.
  • 7Writing on, defacing or damaging library materials in any way is prohibited.
  • 8Consulted books are to be left on the reading table.
  • 9Viewing of objectionable or pornographic material is not allowed.
  • 10No group discussions are allowed within the library.
  • 11Reservation of seats is not allowed in the library.
  • 12Copyright laws must be observed when using photocopying machines in the library.
