Economics for Non- Economists

RATIONALE

This course introduces economic principles, theories and methods of analysis providing a framework for the application of economic theory to real-world problems for anyone interested and curious about economics. It provides one with a sound knowledge of and the ability to apply key principles of Economics to day to day events. Within this course we will look at both microeconomics and macroeconomics; the study of individual firms and the whole economy and concepts of economic growth, unemployment and financial crisis that continue to affect Botswana.

PURPOSE

The aim of this course is to equip employees with the skillsย to be able to understand the decisions we make as individuals, pension funds, investors and governments.

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:
